For we are his workmanship , created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Beloved in Christ, we have been given a mandate even before we “arrived” here on earth and that is to be a part of the kingdom business, hence the need for us to push further not to miss out on it.
Just like we wouldn’t want to have issues with our boss at work, it’s the same way we wouldn’t want to have issues with our God. We strive to keep the purpose. We ought to be set apart for kingdom purposes. We ought to arise and awake from our slumber. Our God is not looking out for “part-time” employees, He is out there for FULL-TIME workers! It is amazing how this week’s reflections and prayers have been drawing our attention to go all out for Christ as we await the glory of the latter. Indeed, there is a season, how ready are we to draw from this season? A charge to keep, a God to glorify.
Eph. 3:2-12 gives us a projection of Paul as he appreciates his giftings and the power of God being manifested in them. He boasts because He has been able to use this to the glory of God, by preaching and spreading His word among others.
Today I ask, what are we using that which has been given to us (giftings ) for? We always run looking for impartation and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, yet when we receive, we go back and sit on them….
Mercy Lord.
Meanwhile we are to be His workmanship as the opening scripture says. However, some of us recline out of fear, of which we have the power to overcome and the authority to revoke. Why reduce the populace of the kingdom when we are supposed to be flooding the kingdom of God with souls by feeding them with that which we have been given. People of God, we know not when the Lord is coming, yet we ought to be prepared. Remember, to whom much is given, much is expected!
I am here to charge us all, arise, for the kingdom of God is at hand.
We do not have the luxury of time to accommodate certain things like fear, doubt, laziness, excuses etc.
Wake up from thy slumber!
Prophets – prophecy
Intercessors – pray
Teachers – teach the word
HnD ministers – Heal and deliver souls
Counselors – counsel the weak
Use your gifts and let’s build the body of Christ!
